Art Lessons:
My teaching theory for art is based on supporting and enriching students' existing talents. My personal approach to artmaking is mixed media; I am comfortable teaching drawing (graphite, pastel, etc.), painting (oil, acrylic, and watercolor), printmaking, basic sculpture/3D work, and crafting (soaps, felting, sewing, etc.).
Exploring their preferred subject matter and media, students will be guided to create projects while exploring the fundamentals of creating art (the elements and principles of art). This allows students to develop their art skills at their own pace and understanding, while learning the fundamentals of what makes a piece of art "good." In addition to developing technique, students will also develop an appreciation (love) for art.
Students can also participate in field trips to museums and galleries to learn art appreciation and experience local and regional artists.
Individual art lessons are $30/half hour and $45/hour. Group lessons are $20/hour (group lessons are project-based).
*MOST materials in-studio are provided, however, students may be required to purchase additional materials based on their interests in different mediums.Piano Lessons:
I have played piano for over 20 years and have experience in classical performance, both in piano and violin/viola. My music teaching theory is based on a blending of the suzuki method (listening-based) as well as traditional instruction (theory, sight-reading, etc.)
Piano lessons are $25/half hour.To inquire about lessons, please contact me using the form below!

about me
Statement:
Much of my work explores themes of spirituality, sexuality, mental health, and nature, and often a combination of these. I consider myself a multi-media artist—I enjoy painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, and fiber, and I often combine one or more of these mediums in my work.
Bio:
Jack LeSieur is an Edmonson County Native who lives in Bowling Green, KY. He began his foray into the art world at the age of 8 when he started making pots for his mother from clay he mined in the forest near his home, and then again at age 11 when he and his dad stood for hours in front of a homemade easel “mastering” the mountain scenes of Bob Ross.
Jack studied piano and viola as a teenager, competing in several competitions and serving as the principal violist for several years with the Bowling Green Youth Orchestra. After studying theatre for a year as a WKU freshman, he switched gears and received his B.A. in Anthropology (Cultural Resource Management) with a second concentration in Design (interior design). He then pursued an M.A. in Folk Studies with a concentration in historic preservation & museology, after which he became the collections manager, and later Director, of the Downing Museum in Bowling Green.
In his curatorial work, Jack strives to share the inspiring story of Joe Downing to the general public, as well as provide an outlet for southcentral Kentucky artists to share their creative work. He believes that art has the power to bring happiness, propel social change and justice, and serve as a tool for understanding the often complicated world around us.
He currently serves as Vice President for ArtworksBG and Vice President for the Hobson House Commission. He has previously served as Treasurer for the Kentucky Museum and Heritage Alliance, a board member for the White Arts Festival, Treasurer for the BG Landmark Trust, and is a Past President of the Friends of Riverview at Hobson Grove.
In his spare time, he loves kayaking, playing piano/guitar/banjo, hiking, gardening, houseplants, and spending time with friends, family, partner, Frank, and critters Edie the miniature schnauzer, Endora the honduran milk snake, and Cleo the parakeet.
